Vent-A-Hood, the leader in manufacturing home cooking ranges for over 75 years is seeking a CAD Designer/CAM Programmer at its Richardson, Texas location.
The successful candidate for this position will be experienced using Autocad, Inventor and Vault versions 2012 or above. Sheet metal fold/unfold or Trumpf Tops® software and iLogic/Visual Basic programming a plus.
The desired candidate will understand setup of CNC machines producing SS/CRS sheet metal and have a high level of knowledge in maintaining quality standards. They must have good record keeping skills and organized in work flow. SPC experience also a plus.
Duties include:
- Creating 2D/3D orthographic drawings as well as interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerance is a must.
- Programming offline CNC programs using Tops Punch/Laser Software.
- Maintaining continuity of documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplish new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Conceptual skills, process improvement, verbal communication, functional and technical skills, attention to detail and sound judgment.
- 3+ years of CAD/CAM experience as well as extensive computer skills desired
