Langan offers integrated engineering and environmental services for both public and private sector clients at sites located throughout the United States and abroad.

Langan has an opening for a .NET Programmer in our Elmwood Park, NJ office.  As the successful candidate, you will be working on internal software development projects in VB.NET.  You may be involved in any or all stages of the software development lifecycle from planning through maintenance.  Projects will include both web and desktop based applications and require a passionate and creative developer.  Possession of a strong technical background, professional demeanor and desire to learn is essential to this position.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in VB.NET or C#;
• Object-oriented analysis and design;
• Web development experience (HTML, XML, ASP.NET, AJAX, etc.);
• SQL Server;
• Experience with at least one commercial source control package (VSS, CVS, etc.);
• Excellent problem solving and effective communication skills; and,
• The ability to work independently or in a small development team.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with AutoCAD and its .NET, ObjectARX or RealDWG APIs;
• VC++;
• Infragistics controls; and,
• MapGuide Open Source.
