NEED TUTOR WILL PAY

I would like to improve my skills and willing to pay for a tutor or just out source some basic work to. I currently create basic line drawing of flat roofs. I would like to create several short cut tool bars that would have roof top projection as buttons. I currently draw each item every time (units, pipes and so on) I would like to be able to select an item from a tool bar ( UNITS, PIPES, SKYLIGHTS) and then choose the curb size from an drop down and drag the item into my dwg. I had this done a few years back but when I upgraded AutoCAD the tool bars are lost along with title blocks, a scaling button that would re-size my dwg to fit within the chosen title block.

The long and the short is I would like someone to work with me on getting my drawing templates established, create tool bars and steam line my drawing process

I am located in the Brighton Michigan area but will be relocating my office to the UP for the winter. Maybe allot could be done via PC anywhere and e-mails?

Chip: A word: Steer this guy away from designing dead flat roofs -even if they're located in a place where it never rains.

Hi,

"Patrick59" I suspect you'll get more response in the Classified Group. Not here where the dinosaurs run rampant...(You did say that you had upgraded?)

/Petri (Sorry the commute would be too much -- Finland to Michigan AND back!)

so many things the value of CAD is not to repeat commands and utilize drawings of the past

you need to start a book and the drawing path the just insert the block
the save the new files to a new folder and a folder within a folder

and for the time being write it down until the proceedure is commited to memory

You should look at dynamic blocks, from your description it sounds like
dynamic blocks should improve your speed along with organized palettes of
your blocks as a good start

Patrick, As others have said, I believe all you need to do is start making
blocks (dynamic, or standard) form your existing content in previous
drawings and save them out to seperate folders, but keep all the type
catagories of blocks in a single "holder" drawing, as you have catagorized
them in your post. DesignCenter has a built-in tool to then create the Tool
Pallete for you - if you right click on the holder drawing from within
DesignCenter.
Anybody who is moving to the UP (anytime), but esp, for the winter, is cool,
in my book!
Good luck,

Thanks for the responds. I think I have found someone to give a hand via e-mails and PC Anywhere. Loading the sleds up later today and heading to a piece of heaven later this week.

Thanks again and I will try your suggestions.

Patrick
