This position is for a Manufacturing CAD Software Specialist in either our Austin or San Antonio, Texas, USA office. This is not a CAD drafting or engineering production job. This position provides pre-sales and post-sales technical services to new and existing customers. Typical duties include meeting with design professionals to assess needs, demonstrating various software offerings, teaching the various Autodesk manufacturing software programs (both live classroom & distance learning), writing technical whitepapers, and providing technical support services.
Candidates must have at least 3 years experience with Autodesk Inventor. Experience with other Autodesk design solutions, such as AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault and Autodesk Simulation, are highly desirable. Additional advanced skills training will be provided, but a high level of expertise with Autodesk Inventor is mandatory. Candidates must have earned both the Autodesk Inventor 2013 Certified Associates and Certified Professional certifications. Achieving the AutoCAD 2013 Certified Associates and Certified Professional certifications are highly desirable and will be required during the probationary employment period. Additional certifications such as Autodesk Certified Instructor and Autodesk Certified Product Support Professional are also required during the probationary employment period. Training and preparation time will be provided to take and pass these mandatory certification exams.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience with a manufacturer or product design or engineering firm. Excellent presentation and communication skills are required.
This is a salaried position. Benefits include 401(k) with match and fully paid health. Minimal travel, mostly to regional and national technical training events is required.
