CAD Manager position in Tampa

Because I am leaving my Tampa, FL architecture / interior design firm in a few months, they have asked that I help them to find someone to step into my position.

The position is a full time position that includes CAD management and project duties. An ideal candidate would be an architectural project manager with CAD management experience and qualifications. However, a skilled drafter, interior designer, or other candidate would be considered as well -- if that person has the right CAD management experience.

I guess it comes down to the fact that the CAD management would not be a full time requirement, so project duties would supplement.

We have 3 offices of about 30, 6, and 4 people. IT duties would generally NOT be part of your job duties, but you'd work with the IT guy on installation/set up and other overlap areas.

For specifics on CAD management... we run ADT 2006. We own ADT 2007 (on subscription) but are going to skip implementing it. Customizations include CUIs, palettes, lisps, pgp, details/blocks, templates, styles, macros, icons, etc. Experience working with all those would be required.

Finally, excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. We have an extensive CAD Manual that is a work in progress. Updating and tweaking it would be part of your job. Evaluating technician's drawings upon their annual reviews would also be part of your job. And... answering those daily CAD questions from the staff and running occasional CAD classes/meetings.
