Point group query invalid with 2012

Hola!

I'm using civil 3D 2012 for 2 weeks now. When I create a query to include or exclude points in a specific point group I get an error. It doesn't allow me to build a query with decimal number but only with natural number.

Everything was fine with my old civil 3D 2011.

The problem is with civil 3D 2012? or maybe their is a magic switch somewhere to allow me to use decimal number?

Thanks for suggestion to resolve my problem.

You're using decimals in your point numbers?

My elevations have decimal.

like this query:

with elevations matching :  < 0.05

I don't know if this will fix the issue you are seeing, or not. But have you applied Update 1 for C3D2012? LINK

My propduct is up to date.

I get the same error with every drawing in 2012.

When I try to enter something invalid in the point group properties like this:

with elevations matching : <0.5

a message in the command bar appear "Le type ne correspond pas.  (point elevation <0.5)"

or

with elevations matching : <blablabla

a message in the command bar appear "Le type ne correspond pas. (point elevation <blablabla)"

It's weird to have a French sentence in an English version of Autocad. Never saw that before. Maybe because I have a French version of Windows xp 32. Maybe I should update something special in my Windows OS?

Why would you have elevations less than 0.5'?  Is this subsea?

Yes, I'm working with bathymetric surface.

I use "point groups" to divide points in different categories with different Point Label Style:

-above zero : with elevation >0.05

-near zero : with elevation between -0.05 and 0.05

-below zero: with elevation <-0.05

My temporary solution is to use the Qselect tool and assign Point label style manually.

Decimal number .05 is working with Qselect tool!!
