How to change color of distance measure line

Not quite sure what to call the temporary stretchy line that you get when you measure a distance between two points, but mine recently turned black and I can no longer see it against my background. Any ideas on how to change it back to white?

This one?

I'm not sure but have you tried resetting your display in your options?

It's generally referred to as the rubber-band line since there doesn't seem to be an official name.
