hi all

Just getting started on autocad civil 3D.Please help on how to transfer x,y and z cordinates points to the drawing window.I have them in an excel sheet. Thanks

1.  Save your Excel file as an ASCII file.

2.  You either save in a "comma delimited" or a "space delimited" format.

 

3. Select Points -> Points Creation Tool

4.  The far right side of the Create Points screen is "Import Points" screen.

 

5.  Select the HELP button at the bottom for the remaining operations.

Here's the tutorial for importing points from a database. You'll just need to change the point format to match your point file.
