Create POINTS in a profile, then project to an alignment

I have a pipe centerline alignment in my plan and I created the Centerline with vertical bends as a profile line in my profile view. I can create points along an alignment at geometry points and then project them into my prifile view using the pipe centerline profile as my insertion elevation. this works ... mostly great.

However, i want to create a "point" of some sort at my vertical P.I. along the centerline profile and then "project" them to my plan view along my alignment...

how do i do that?

I have searched and have not seen anything that can help.

I am using Civil 3D 2015 SP2 (with hotfixes) on Windows 7 Pro.

TIA.

You can create COGO points at profile geometry points along an alignment.

If you go to the Points button on the Create Ground Data panel of the Home tab, one of the drop down options is  Create Points-Alignments.  From there, one of the options is Profile Geometry Points.

Hope this helps!
