Can't Plot Transparent Corridor Shapes...

Is it possible to have Corridor Shape Hatches plot with transparency? If I set the Transparency of the Layer, the Corridor will display the Shape Hatch with the required Transparency, but it will not plot? Please note, I have checked the "Plot with Transparency" box in the Plot Dialog Box.

Regards.
Ross.

I'm not sure if this is possible but if the system variable PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE = 0,  the "Plot with Transparency" box in the Plot Dialog Box will have no effect.

From the Help for PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE:

0 Does not plot object transparency
1 Uses the setting specified in the Page Setup or the Plot dialog boxes
2 Plots object transparency

Setting the PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE system variable to 0 or 2 overrides the Plot Transparency option in the Page Setup or the Plot dialog boxes.
Warning
Because this system variable can affect global plot performance, it is strongly advised that you leave the value set to 1 and manage plot transparency when plotting.

Thanks Jay,

Our PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE is set to '1'.

I guess it's just not possible.

Thanks anyway.

Ross.

A quick update...

It looks as though it is possible after all...

During my testing I discovered what seems to be a corrupt Material Area Fill Style for one of my Links. After I recreated this it worked fine...

Hi Ross,

So did you leave your settings of PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE  to be 1. Could you explain how you manage to achieve this transparent option? Thank you.

Hi @asankaHW,

I have confirmed that PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE is set to 1.

I don't think there's anything fancy going on, I just ensure that my Material Area Fill Style is set for the Link Code that you want to see as Transparent and ensure that the layer has Transparency set (See Pictures).

Regards,
Ross.
