I have a character that I have animated in MotionBuilder but when exported to Max or Unity the mesh shrinks and becomes warped, balloning at the bottom and losing feet and arms. The animation plays ok. The first photo is how it looks in Max after using the Send To as a new scene. The second photo is how it looks in Mobu. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi,
Would it be possible to send us the MotionBuilder scene so we can investigate.
Thanks for help!

Hi,
The problem is repro on our side.
The problem is with the Units setting in the 3dsMax FBX import.
If you import the file in 3dsMax using the “Automatic” (Inches) Units setting, you’ll have the scaling problem
.. but if you change the Units setting to centimeters, the character will import without problem.
*See the video called Units.mp4
If you use the “OneClick” workflow, you can fix the scaling issue by selecting the bones and then set their scaling to 100
*See the video called Scaling.mps
Thanks for your report.
Best regards

Hi,
Small questions for our investigation.
Have you played with the scaling of the bones?
Would it be possible to send us the original (untouched) CGen FBX file please.
Thanks!

Converting to Centemeters on import works great. I don't know Max well enough to understand how you got to the Heirachy to edit it. I have attached the file created in CGen.
