cfd and inventor .iam

I have created an assy (.iam) in inventor.I wish now to load this into autodesk cfd for analysis, this is where the problem seems to arise and what happens is a message appears " Reading model file" , it nevers seems to get past this stage.

The question is  does autodesk cfd recognise inventor .iam files,it it does why is it taking so long, is it the complexity of the model, the assy model consists of 2 solid parts only.

Any suggestions please.

Hi,

Are all of the parts that construct the assembly located in the CFD project folder? I had similar problem in the past and this solved the problem. Try it and inform us if it works or not.

Mo,

Any luck here? Are you able to launch a simple cube?
