xrefs not loading properly

When we open a drawing the program seems to be looking for the xref only in the last folder that we opened (an entirely different job). We never used to have this problem until we upgraded the computers but I can't see any difference from our previous set up. Is it something to do with the filing system? Any ideas?

AutoCAD will always look in the folder where the parent drawing is located, but it should not look in the "last" used folder unless there is a reason to.

Verify the SAVED path vs. the FOUND path on the xrefs.

There has to be a logical reason why it is looking where it is looking.

Better late than never, I guess.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
