XReff Manager and 3rd party software.

Anyone have any experience with XRef Manager when 3rd part objects exist in the files? Is AutoCAD MEP Xref manager forgiving where custom objects are concerned... or is there a concerning risk of damaging the 3rd party objects. 

 

We did this one other time, but only in one office... I had the users resolve XRef paths only for XRefs in their own 'host' model files.

 

Any thoughts?

I have a 3rd party app running in Civil 3D. It doesn't seem to bother anything. But I don't think the app generates any objects on it's own. It just adds on to the Civil objects. You could probably do a couple of tests on copies of files to find out if yours will be affected.
