transfer settings to new computer

What is the best way to transfer a users acad settings from one computer to
another? The current, and new machien both have civil 3d 06, but this would
apply to ADT 06 also.

Thanks

David

I don't know, but I just have to say... with your last name, could you do
ANYTHING but CAD? 🙂

All the desktop settings are stored in a file named sdsk.dfm. just copy
that to the new system. You could also create a profile of there CAD setup
(buttons, color, toolbars etc.) all that good stuff is stored in the user
profile. (Type Options to get to the profile menu). After you create a
profile, export the profile to the server. goto the new machine and import
the profile and then set it as current. the CAD screen will now change to
look just like the other desktop.

Save out the profiles to the network.
Login as him or her on the new machine.
Transfer that profile to the new machine. Import it into Cad.
