This issue has not been resolved in AutoCAD 2017. The units can differ from the -DWGUNITS and variables for -DWGUNITS are not defined through ACADINFO nor SYSVDLG.
@pendean, I have reread and I understand that it is undocumented now. But I think that Autodesk should document it which in turn would solve the issue that some of us are having when trying to set the correct variables in drawings to ensure consistency.
