Shutdown batch file?

Is there a way to setup a batch file to run when windows NT is restarted or
shutdown?

Any drawings we are working on are located on our local drive. At the end of
the day we
run a batch file that copies the drawing from our local drive to the server.

Half of my users have not been running the batch file.

Is there a way to setup the batch file to run automatically from either with
A2Ki or WIN NT.

Thanks,
Victor

If you have more than one copy of a drawing file, sooner or later, someone will end up editing the wronge file. Only one person is working with a particular file, so it is safer if it is loaded off the server. Dave Alexander

Go to Microsoft's site and look for the NT Resource Kit. There is a
shutdown and a logout utility in it that can be called from a batch file.
The help file that comes with the kit will tell you all the switches.

Enjoy,

This is a by-product of a larger problem. Running a batch file doesn't solve any
of the glaring problems inherent in this approach.

I recommend you do yourself a favor, and open the drawings from the server
instead of constantly uploading/downloading files to the clients.

Why aren't you storing and working from the server? I have not heard of to
many office working from the local drives and saving back at night.

I think you are setting yourself up for a major catastrophe.
