Any idea why AutoCAD R2012 would evaluate the ROAMABLEROOTFOLDER variable different on different machines or for different users? We are using a network deployment to install AutoCAD 2012 on our workstations. When checking either the registry or an AutoCAD profile, we see that some machines have set that varialble as:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2012 - English\ (the installation folder)
Other machines have that variable set as:
C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2012 - English\R18.2\enu (the user folder)
Any ideas what might be causing that? Our IT dept has the installation folder locked out, so I'm concerned that if a user tries to make any changes to a profile, for example, they'll get an error message and won't be able to make any adjustments.
Thanks,
Guy
