Random File Locking

I have the Enterprise CUI file on the network, until this week we haven't
had a problem.

The way it is set up is that the CUI and MNL are in a network directory that
everybody has only read access to except me. Suddenly this week it has
started to "lock" itself and tell me it is in use and can't be modified. Not
a big deal except for some reason when this happens the MNL blows up and
won't load all of our lisps and worse than that halts LDD from completing it
loading of all it's files. I can fix the problem of with the mNL by giving
everyone modify abilities in the folder.

Finally when I look and see if someone has the file open the network shows
that about 10-12 people have it open. We have about 60 users at any one time
using LDD/MAp so that doesn't make in sense. It is different people every
time and when I kick them off it everything goes back to normal.

So Anybody have any ideas about what's going on?

I would try removing the read only access to the folder and test. The
enterprise cui is a read only file in acad by default so there is no need to
lock out the folder. Just a thought.
