"Command not allowed because drawing contains objects from a newer version of Ar

Good afternoon,

We recently purchased Autocad 2007 and integrated it into an environment where other users are running ADT 2006 and Autocad 2006. We have the 2007 set to save to 2004 format. When working in any of the saved drawings with 2006, I repeatedly got the ARX_ERROR eNotThatKindOfClass error. Upon installing the Hotfix for the Object Enabler, I find that some of my commands don't work and get the error "Command not allowed because drawing contains objects from a newer version of Architectural Desktop." As the error suggests someone must have saved the drawing from a newer version of ADT. This puzzles me because we only have one license of ADT, both seats should be th e same. Is this because of the Autocad 2007, not the ADT and is there a Hotfix/workaround? I wasn't able to find anything. Is it necessary to upgrade all users to 2007?

Thanks
Rob Miller

You need to search support.autodesk.com or the AutoCAD NG's. there is a
hotfix for this - i think it's in SP1 for 2007...

That is to say... install the service pack on 2007 and re-save the file?

Thanks

Remove the Object Enablers, they are causing you problems. Use the -Exporttoautocad command instead of saveas. You can srcipt this with scriptpro. This is a problem we've had working between the two apps. We had ADT3.3 and 02. Now that we're on 06 we are constantly using the -Exporttoautocad command to rid the AEC objects.
