Piping in an Inventor Standard license

Design Suite Standard and thus Inventor Standard don't let you create/edit/modify piping.  BUT, will they let you open/measure an assembly that has piping in it?  We don't have many people who will edit piping, but they all need to be able to work with assemblies that have it included, so I'm trying to avoid the 25% markup of having to go to the next level.  Thoughts/Experiences?  Thank you!

Scott,

From what I've seen with "lower" versions of Inventor opening files with piping, wiring, etc created in higher versions of Inventor (Inventor LT versus Inventor Routed systems) has been you will or should see the piping models, but you won't be able to edit them. I can't recall what the error states, but you'll get one if you attempt to do such.

Users should also have no problem measuring the piping in the assemblies.

Hope this helps.
