open using minimal resources

Is there anyone that might be able to help me on this one?

I have users that are using AutoCAD on laptops. I would like to know if there is a way to open AutoCAD using ablolute minimal resources. After the program is opened then we might be able to lioad the addition resources needed. They do need to pull a license off of VPN. I would like the user to only load the nessesary item to start up the program.

Not really, AutoCAD is a resource hog of an app.
Your AutoCAD version? Your PC specs? What is the problem now that you are wishing to avoid with this idea?

Sometimes AutoCAD takes 5-6 minutes to startup sometimes more. Hoping to avoid this. I already have done the /nologo thing in the Target properties oof the icon.

As a test... unplug from the network/internet/turn off wifi: does the slow start problem go away?

Are there any third part add-ons installed? remove them.

Is everyone logging into Autodesk360? If they are not using it does uninstalling it help?

I uninstalled the Autodesk 360 from my station and startup time dropped from 47 seconds to 36 seconds. This might be really helpful when trying to work with your average laptop.

Users can check out a license, and then run unconnected wiht networking disabled.

But -- without adeqaute horsepower on the laptop, it won't be speedy no matter what you try.  Sorta like moving cross country in a VW Microsbus, vs a semi with a 53' trailer.  It's possible, but.....
