well, I envy that... I had to fill out a 20 page requisition form (each)
just to get a non-standard mouse and graphics card. ~sigh~ 😜

Well, we're a non-profit, so they don't have reason to be stingy... they
just like to make it difficult.

It's getting easier, I'll admit... my last pc, they would only give me
512 RAM because that was 'standard' at the time... of course, three
months later the standard got bumped to 2gig, so after that, my
secretary actually had a better machine than me for over a year. 😞

well, if I'm telecommuting, I can work from anywhere, so I won't really
mind so much. ~batting eyes~

I'm not in the office at midnight, and neither is the company I need to get the license files from. Some things cannot be automated, like hardware updates and USB lock updates.

Their is a really neat company that just went into buisness that we get all hardware from so we just plug it in it takes like a whole min. you might of heard of them, DELL

Cool those flames, yes they are a good company for computers, but they won't come in and add the hardware to the box, and definitely not while the designers are working to a deadline. They won't update our hardware lock for one of our programs, either. Those need to be done while the users are not here, and that means seasonal holiday.
