Mechanical CAD Management Development

Greeting Everyone,

I am new to this post, so forgive me if this question has been asked in the past. My management has been looking to find a professional development course for me to attend for some time now. I have found materials for the Architectural world; but nothing for the Mechanical sector. My question is two part. First, Does anyone know of a "CAD Manager Boot Camp" for the Mechanical World? Second, If one doesn't exist, those of you who went to the Architectural version, would this be a benefit regardless of the discipline. Thanks in advance for your time.

Best Regards,

I find this topic very interesting as well, but I
am more focused on the Architectural side of things. Is there such a "boot camp"
one can attend that would prime them for future endeavors???

Hello Dustin - I believe the company is CVIS in California for the "CAD Manager's Boot Camp". That is the only one I could find on the web. Hope it helps!

Jaime,

Would love to go to AU! Unfortunately, I can not convince my management of the value. They see it as a week's vacation to a "play land". Maybe if it were in New York or Chicago. My company views conferences in New Orleans and Las Vegas as distracting due to their robust nature. I am also looking for the formal credential. Thanks for your post though.

I suppose Bill Kramer's CAD Cruise would be out of
the question then 😉

They don't have any faith in the people they hire?
Maybe they are the player type and think everybody else does the same.
Not enough time for all the classes at AU.
