Lunch Seminars

I'm looking for recommendations for what to feed people for lunch during
our lunchtime seminars. I'm getting tired of pizza, but it seems to be
the cheapest and easiest. Any ideas? I need to feed 15-20 people in a
conference room that seats 12.

I sometimes break it up with platters from Chick-Fil-A.

Always vacuumed up in minutes! Never a complaint - except I need to buy more! ;D

watch out for those vegetarians with some choices. Pizza is the worse, order
a few special ones for them and then you toss a whole pie out because only a
few want it!

"Get those sandwich rolls from Costco. Yum. Well, except for the tomato,
but I always pull those out."

Me too dude. I love tomato, but only cooked. Raw tomato just tastes awful.

Do you have any Teriyaki places nearby? Sometimes we'll just order a bunch
of different lunch orders (some variation of meat or stir-fry on rice with
veggies on the side) and use them as a-la-cart dishes. Put out some plates
and utensils and let people dish up what they want. Seems to make everyone
happy and is usually cheaper than chinese food.

Meh, it ain't pricey unless you get the fancy stuff. At least compared to
sammiches and such.

I also get a salad and a fruit platter. Usually, that covers everyone. Dieters too.

Hmmm, I said not raw fish. California roll, cucumber roll, tempura roll,
dynamite roll... all go over well, are not raw fish, and are relatively
cheap.

this is how it works....
1. I teach 1 thing at a time
2. Everyone then takes a test to make sure they understand
3. If someone doesn't get it, then we go over it until they do, it's amazing
how helpful everyone is in getting those people to understand
4. Once everyone understands, then they can have a bite of food and a quick
peek

I have been to a few where they've had a variety of cold pasta salads.....a refreshing change from the old standby pizza especially in these hot summer months in the Northern Hemisphere.
