LM TOOLS on 2 machines

Right now we have our LM installed on the server which is totally typical.
However if i ever want to check anything i have to walk back to the server
to do so. Is there a way to in stall LM TOOLS on my local pc inthe office
and just tell it where the lic is and be able to just perform a lic status
on it or do i have to go back to the server every time i want to do that?

Thanks,
John

No, as jpostlewait said, just use Remote Desktop.

I believe remote installs are in the documentation. Install it and list the
server with an @ symbol in front of the name. I don't have LMTOOLS loaded at
home or I'd provide detailed info. It will work across the WAN as well. I
can monitor servers in different cities.

Can you create a share on the server for LM folder, and then a shortcut
to the LM exe on your desktop? The link for the shortcut may be--
\\myservername\NLMflex\lmtool.exe

This is interesting...all i had to do was install LM TOOLS on my machine and
it automatically found the lic. file on the server and i can check it's
usage w/o doing any special work. LOVE IT....
