THe problem with the import is the limitation of the windows clipboard.
It will only store limited information.
There are a few fixes available.
Open the word doc, select about 1 page worth of text, press[ctrl]+
in acad, choose [edit] [paste special] and select one of the several
options available in the dialog.
pasting as "acad entities" is about 75% useful, but the text is placed
at a random size.
(note in acad2k that the option for this is called "%product entities",
apparent programming error?!)
if you use this method, be sure to avoid zooming in or out until you
have imported all the desired text, or you will have to monkey around
with several font sizes.
You can also choose "Text". The text will appear in the upper right
hand corner of the screen.
another option is to save the document as .TXT or .RTF. In ACAD, the
MTEXT dialog, choose the third button from the top [import text...]
Choose the file you just saved to import. (note the 16k file size
restriction)
Check out www.dotsoft.com, they may have a fix on that web site.
Not much help, but a start......
