Importing drawings into DTP program with line width maintained?

Having tried several things when exporting drawings from ACAD 2002LT to maintain the line width I hope, that someone her can give me some hints as to how we can import drawings in QuarkExpress and MS Word, without having to alter the line widths manually from within these programs.

This causes unnecessary extra work in our sales and marketing department, as the work has already been done once in engineering.

Have you tried the PDFwriter system printer from
Adobe Acrobat ?

PDF Writer does give an on-screen picture, which can be pasted into other applications. Copying and pasting is not a good solution, as this prevents linking to the original drawing and makes drawing tracing very difficult.

Short term, we import DWG to Quarkexpress and change all lines and text formatting afterwards to make it look right in the documents, which also does not maintain the link, since the content is modified from the original.
