Effective use of Plot logging?

Any suggestions as to how to setup a secure network plot log file that users
cannot short circuit from within AutoCAD?

I don't plan to actually print a plot stamp on drawings at this point, but I
would like to enable the creation of a plot log file, the option for which
is included in the .pss file. Making the .pss file Read-only on a secure
place on our network would seem not allow users to change its settings, but
my concern is that users would by-pass its use by loading another .pss file.
(One that doesn't log the plot.) Any ideas on how to avoid the
short-circuit?

In any case, if I do go this route, I need to have a way to set each person'
s software to pick up the network .pss file. I was hoping to get some
suggestions as to what to add to the startup lisp routine that would set the
plot stamp parameter file to the specific .pss file on the network; that
way, I don't wouldn't have to visit each machine.

I know there are various plot logging software that have all kinds of
features. I think one of these would be an overkill at this time; for now, I
just want to cut down on check plots to the large plotters. Thanks to any
and everyone for any ideas.

What about having the software write the .pss to a place on your machine.
They have write access and once the file is written you hide it and then
they can't see it.
