Custom properties on a sheet template.

I am currently in the process of updating a title block on a sheet template. I am trying to make a specific attribute on the title block appear in a second location on the title block but copy pasting the attribute messed up the fields.

I am trying to fix the original field and then duplicate it, the original field didn't have a category in the feild dialogue box it just came up as *unknown* and the field expression was
%<\AcSm Database("file location").Component("gB656EE1A-0FB1-43A4-B7F2-42E590AF4EBF")
.Title \href "Q:\P900-999 file location.
If anyone can help me figure out how to recreate this or even how to use custom feilds on a sheet template it would help ALOT, thankyou.

First off. Is Q:\P900-999 the correct file location and is it available on the network?

I've looked around and can't find anything on the rest of the expression. We don't use document links so I don't have experience with them. I know when I copy a field with an Object reference I have to edit the field an select an object.

Your best bet may be to recreate the field from scratch.

You can create fields in Mtext, Text and Tables. Usually Insert Field (ctrl-f) is available on the rt-clk menu after you start creating the text.

what I usually do is I create a dummy sheet set, modify the titleblock as needed (fields, etc) in a drawing within that sheet set, then save that drawing as a dwt on our network.

Thankyou so much

Sorry i have one last question, in terms of duplicating the attributes so the same information appears in two places with one date entry, would copy pasting to the job or do i create a seperate attribute and link it to the same feild.

We don't use sheet sets. So I'm not sure. I do see a category for them when I create a field in Mtext.

Link them both to the same SSM property.
