Current Salaries for CAD Managers

Just wanted to get some input on the current salaries for CAD managers.
I have read the recent article in Cadence magazine but did not feel it
portrayed an accurate assesment of current salaries. I am currently the
CAD manager for a 70 person A/E firm in Atlanta, GA and responsible for
42 CAD users. I have a degree in Architecture and have 10 years
experience with AutoCAD. My duties include; company standards,
training, customization (autolisp/VBA), standards enforcment and back-up
MIS to name a few. In addition, I am proficient in Arris, Microstation
and Revit. I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks in advance,
Erik Schroeder

Thanks for your input Nick! Hey where are you located? I am trying to
arrange my research by big cities vs. smaller cities.

I am the only designer/engineer here. Have 6 years CAD experience; over 10
years design experience; 20 years woodworking experience.
I am entirely responsible for all new product designs and engineering of
those designs, all custom work (about 25% of what we manufacture is custom
adaptation of our standard product line), maintaining engineering standards
on a product line of over 60 individual items, and, of course, managing my
own CAD dwgs.
$50,000/yr + retirement + health insurance. Central Maine.

Jonathan,

Johnson City! I know this is off the subject. I was just down your way in June. My dad is from Elizabethton, TN. He took me down (from Washington State) to show me his old stomping grounds. I envy anyone that lives in TN. What a super place.
