Crashing

Have any managers noticed constant crashing with Acad 2000i?
I'm moving the office to 2000i right now (yes, now) and my testing person is
experiencing crashes about once every 20 minutes. He is using different
drawings, and, to my knowledge, these crashes did not occure when the files
were edited in release 14.

His editing consists of panning and zooming and adding qleaders.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Edward

Five bucks say you were using WIPEOUTS in R14, weren't ya? Autodesk will
tell you to update your video drivers, I'll tell you there's an
unacknowledged problem with WIPEOUT, but since it's an ExpressTool, you'll
get no support for it. In either case, try removing all of the WIPEOUT
generated raster images and see if that helps.

Update your Video Card drivers, and mouse drivers, and you might even have
to turn your video card hardware acceleration in Windows>Control
Panels>Display down or OFF.

2000/i/2 AutoCADs are very picky about video cards and drivers.

Oh, and follow Dean's suggestions below. He does have a point RE the
pickiness of the 2000 based products.

If I were a betting man you would be five bucks richer!!

I'm using virtual swarms of wipeouts...
Hmmm, so any detailed suggestions as far as video drivers go?
Or... any further detailed information in general?

Thank you very much guys, I started developing my suspicions about the
wipeouts, and this helps support it.

Edward
