Calculatio of Rectified Toosheet

Hi,

I have an Survey of India Toposheet with the scale of 1:50000, it has been rectified in ERDAS software using UTM-WGS198443N projection system. 

I am using AutoCad2000 for digitisation, for digitisation I converted that rectified .img file into .tiff format and inserted in autocad using Map-Insert option.  It has been sit properly, while inserting I have kept the units Inches.

When I calculate the length or area I dont know in which unit it is giving and how to conver it in to proper unit like meter and Km??

This might be better asked in the C3d forum or the Map forum, but right off the bat, your units should not be in inches, but rather in meters.  In dealing with land development, units are either in meters, or in the US feet and TENTHS of foot, never in inches.
