CAD Interviews

I have been handed the task of interviewing the new CAD Draughtsperson, and after reading the 'Staff draw like amateurs' tread I don't want the de resonsable for hiring some monkey do does not know jow to string 2 lines together.

Has anyone got any ideas for a short CAD test (30 minutes or so) to sort the boys from the men. We mainly do Architectural based work, so something in that field would be great.

I'd suggest you interview them on :
understanding a network... files... OS... don't assume these!
their boolean algebra skills... this will answer
can they understand layers?
can they handle layers?
can they sort layers?
can they sort entities... to include/exclude/combine/remove objects.

Do they have a grasp of Pspace and Mspace... as well as how YOU use them?
Do they understand how you use snaps and text?
Can they determine scaling - without a calculator?
Drawing is the easy part... click - point....
