alternative pdf viewer

Can anyone suggest a PDF viewer that can zoom window and print window or
print current view?

Adobe reader is quite limited for reading printing large format
engineering drawings.

The only one I have found is Cimmetry Auto View and Panoramic, lots of
functions but a lot of money for a viewer.

Free would be nice.

Thanks,

Acrobat reader will print a zoom view to fit 8.5 by 11 paper.
Just zoom to the area you want and then print.

Hi Paul!

Try ghostview (note... you need Ghostscript 7.04 first installed; get at
same website via link... see notes at bottom...) here's the link:
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/get43.htm

Another option maybe for zoom / print (though you probably need to e-mail
them) is jawspdf editor $30-- http://www.jawspdf.com/pdf_editor/index.html

Ciao!

No need to buy anything:

With the latest version of Adobe Acrobat reader (all I have to go by), use
the Graphics Select Tool (it's a button that is a dashed box with some stuff
in it, next to the Text Select tool that looks like a T and a small box),
click to draw a box around what you want to print, right click, then select
PRINT (you can also just click the print button, make sure "selected
graphic" option is checked).

Make sure you have the latest Acrobat Reader since there is some difference
between 4 and 5 in this case.

Swhing... never even knew that feature!! Yet, not option to auto rotate and
center the image, since it is "blanked" out in the print dialogue. :--(

I use the COPY feature when I need that, instead of Print when you right
click, and paste it into a word document that's better organized with text
and labels etc.

Paul
We use acrobat distiller, this is a plotting to that converts. works
great for converting AutoCAD to a universal tool that everyone can download
for free,
it also plot to scale at any size, you can not tell it was plotted from
acrobat,

works great
