3D rate? £

I've just quoted for a job, using someone elses screen capture (from a fly
around) to produce 2 architectural photomontages - price 2200 UK - quote 1.
And to use someone else dxf file to produce 2 views of a building (montage)-
price 3600 UK - quote 2.
The job would have been an utter pain using someone elses files, blah, blah
blah.
Guess what - didnt get it because some quoted half my price! Was I way out?
Thanks.

There could be too many factors to say whether you were off or not. Size of
the project, how experienced you are versus the person that underbid,
whether you were seeing eye-to-eye with what the client expects. As to
whether you bid 'industry' standard rates is another story.. I don't know
what rates are in UK.

Who knows, the guy who halfed your bid may not have a clue what he's getting
into and they'll end up coming back to you.
