Project size limits

Have the programmers of ProjectPoint looked into letting a site
administrator establish a limit on the size of each project in the site?
Would this be of any use to anyone, other than myself? Or am I just thinking
to hard??

This has been considered. You are not the first to ask. I am not sure if
this is on the roadmap at this time. The original thinking was that site
administrators worry about disk space, number of members, etc. and project
managers just manage the projects. That's why it's not in there in the first
place; however, it would be great if a site admin could set the quota for a
project and then any project member who attempted to upload beyond that
would get cut off. As it sites right now, a site can go 5 meg over its limit
before being cut off. ProjectPoint starts warning everyone when a site is
over the limit, but operations do not fail until the site is 5 meg over. The
same strategy can be applied to the quota limit for the project.

Scott, thanks for the feedback and for the listening ear.
After mulling this over a little, maybe a three tier option selectable by
the site admin is in order.
1. No limit on the projects. Just on the site.
2. Limit on the projects, but only a warning upon exceeding.
3. Limit on project, warning and then failing operations when x amount over
limit.

I don't see project managers giving a thought to space. Only the site
managers can see the space stats, I think.
Most of the time, here anyway, the person uploading does not even know there
is a limit to the site.
I have started limiting versions on the larger projects.
