Possible to use ws_ftp for Buzzsaw access?

The subject says it all.

Can I use my favorite ftp program to access Buzzsaw?

I'm way tired of the slow, limited abilities of the buzzsaw interface.

Buzzsaw doesn't have FTP access but it does have WebDav.

To use this you can open an IE window, choose File, then Open
In the provided window type in the path to your site:
https://projectpoint.buzzsaw.com/
Check the box for "Open as Web Folder" and click OK
You'll be asked to authenticate your session with your Buzzsaw username and password but you'll be able to drag and drop files in Windows explorer without launching the Buzzsaw application.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tom!

We are were trying to use your solution on a Mac, using Parallels, Win XP and IE 6, but unfortunately it didn't work. In IE there is always a message that says that it can't open the page as web folder.
We also have problems to open a connection to the buzzsaw server on Parralels, but I guess that's worth a new thread...

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Ack! The reason it's not working is likely because I gave the wrong subdomain. When connecting using WebDAV you need to use the webfolders subdomain:
https://webfolders.buzzsaw.com/sitename

Sorry about that!

You can also try https://webdav.buzzsaw.com/sitename - which should work the same way. Also if you email me I can send you a white paper one of my colleagues wrote about accessing Buzzsaw on the Mac.

Best,
Steve
