Is it possible to have a html folder setting to view only....

And yet enable users to see the default page and not be able to download?

I have set the folder to lock permission and the permission to view only,
yet on the guest account, I can still d/l the files. Whats the point of
view only if I can still download?

When you set permissions on files, you are setting them on the copy on the
Buzzsaw site. People with view only permission cannot update the file on the
site itself. A Buzzsaw site is based on a client server model where the
client machine gets files from the server and views them locally. Even if
you got to a regular web site, I can still dig out HTML pages from my
browser cache. So even if people download a copy to their local computer and
modify it, they cannot get the modified copy back onto the site.

Ah, gotcha. So View as an administrator option does not block download
ability, but does block upload ability.

Good to know. Thanks Scott, it still seems backwards IMO.
