Preventive maintenance (PM) is scheduled from the Asset record. We think of this as asset-based preventive maintenance. It is achieved by adding a scheduled maintenance task to the asset record. Assets may have an unlimited number of tasks assigned to them. Each task will generate tickets at the interval selected.
Inspections are scheduled from the building page. They too are scheduled tasks but they are not asset-based. They may be used for any non-asset-based recurring task.
Both may have checklists assigned.
