Revit Username

I currently upgraded to Revit 2015. when i tried to glue the view im getting this warning now.

The current model was opened by xxx (my revit id). To continue working, sign in with the same Autodesk ID.

I never had this issue in Revit 2014? so im confused on what i need to do? Adjust my revit id to match my Autodesk ID? and if i do that i get another warning...

Thanks

 Hi,

Thank you for posting your question in this forum.

What may have happened was when the file was opened it was under the default Username in Revit which is the user's Window log-in but then later changed to the same username or e-mail address used to sign in for Autodesk 360.  You may verify this in Revit by going to Options>General and in Username.

One possible solution is to do the following:

  1. Save the Revit file and Relinquish everything you own.
  2. If Worksharing is enabled and there are other users working on the same model, please have everyone Save To Central to prevent loss of work.
  3. Close the Revit file (no need to close Revit altogether).
  4. Sign in to Autodesk 360, it should also make your Autodesk 360 sign-in as your username in Revit (please verify in Options).
  5. Open the Revit file again and try to Glue.

If step 5 does not fix the issue then follow steps 1 to 4 above and do the following:

6.  Open the Revit file and check "Detach from Central".

7.  Save the file and make it as the new Central File with the same name as the original.

8.  Save the file (just to be sure)

9.  Try to Glue the view or views again.

I hope this helps.  Please let us know if you need further assistance or clarification.

Thank you!

I followed steps 1-4. then i closed revit and copied a new local file and now it works for me. No need to resave a new central file.
