Error occurred when gluing models

I am getting this error for a few files when gluing to BIM 360 from Revit 2014.

Error occurred when gluing models. Please try again.

Unable to use the project position's transform to calculate point.

I am using shared coordinates for gluing, and it works on many other files.

Googling for this error did not come up with any hits.

Regards,

Robert L. Fernandez

Hello Robert,

Thank you for participating in our community!

Have you try installing latest updates for Add-ins and Revit 2014 from the Autodesk Application Manage?

Please, provide step-by-step instruction and screen capture for troubleshooting this behavior.

Thank you and I look forward to your reply!

Best regards,

Hi Anil,

The version of Glue Addin is {E967BAB4-E172-49B0-ADAB-DA7E025FE68B} dated 21 Aug 2014.

The procedure I followed:

1. Open, Detach from Central, remove all linked files.

2. Revit Addin, Glue.

At this stage it gives the error.

If you prefer, I cann upload the Revit file to you.

Regards,

Robert.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for posting in this forum.

In response to your posting, were you able to successfully Glue a view from the same Revit model in the past and it now will not allow you to update it?  If you can currently Glue other views from other Revit models using the current plug-in, there is a chance that the issue may be with just the specific Revit file.

Please try to do the following:

1.  Open the Revit model that was having an error when gluing.

2.  Go to Manage>Project Parameters and look for a parameter named SharedCoordinates and delete it.

3.  Go to Manage>Location>Site and delete any site named "ProjectInternal" if there are any.

4.  Try to Glue the view again.

If the above suggestions still does not work, I recommend that we review the Revit file.  Please send it privately.

Thank you!

It was something to do with the shared coordinates.

When i changed to project coordinates, I was able to glue.
