BIM 360 Glue Set Access Levels

Hi,

Does anyone have a good explanation of what each of the access levels allows and disallows:

- Project Admin

- Full Member

- Limited Member

- Reviewer

Thanks.

Hi,

In response to your inquiry, here is a link that shows the matrix of different roles/access types for BIM 360 Glue: http://help.autodesk.com/view/BIM360/ENU/?guid=GUID-468796BF-7AB0-459C-8148-A35971C332EF

On a high level, a Host Admin has access to all projects within a host and has the ability to add projects and members to any projects within the host.

A Project Admin has similar capacity as the Host admin but it is only limited to the project the user is assigned to.  A project admin cannot add new projects but can add project members within a project, share models with Field, etc.

One important thing to make a note of is that there is a Host Admin for all types of contracts or subscriptions except for a Project Based contract.  The highest administrator level for Project Based contract or subscription is a Project Admin.

Lastly, for Enterprise and Project based contracts, a Host and Project Admin have access to download and install Navisworks Manage and use their BIM 360 log-in credentials to open the program.  Here is a link for additional information :  http://help.autodesk.com/view/BIM360/ENU/?guid=GUID-68983D31-0C80-4F20-95A5-255158F0392B.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Sincerely,

Frederick

Thanks. But i'm still struggling when I add someone as a reviewer.

At their end, it just says something along the lines of "No model has been shared with you yet"

This also seems to happen on the limited member and full member options.

All I want to do is add team member to the glue site and to view the models that have been put there.

Thanks

Hi,

If you are the administrator, you can log-in to the admin console and check to make sure that the users have an Active status.  If not, you may need to re-send a new invitation for them to join the project.

For Reviewers, it is a two step process.  They first need to join the project by going through the process when they receive an invitation to join the project.  The second step is that views or mark-ups need to be shared with Reviewers in order for them to view anything.  So essentially, they receive at least two notifications.  The first one is a link to join the project and next ones are notifications that views or mark-ups were shared.

If they are already active members and received notifications that views were shared and still receiving the same error message, one thing to try is to clear the internet browser's cache and history.

If they continue to run into issues then I would recommend that they submit a support ticket to bim360glue.support@autodesk.com for further investigation.

Thank you,

Same text "No model has been shared with you yet", appeared on my screen.

It turnes out, that when im logging on, i have the possibility to either choose a US server or a European server.

I choosed the European server, since im setting in Europe.

But the project was glued throug Revit and is then by default placed on the US Server.

Theres two servers do not talk together.

I logged out, and then entered my credentials in BIM 360 Glue again.

Then i choosed the US server in the dropbown menu and then it worked.
