BIM 360 GLUE Markups and Model Update

Hello,

Here is the problem we are having right now with Markups,

I will create a Markup from a view that I created (Crop the top at ceiling height) and I will hide 1-2 walls to be able to better show the problem to team member. When the architectural model gets updated all the "Hiden" Walls or element that where saved in the Markup are gone (Everything is visible), it is then impossible to see the problem correctly.

Any idea of what is hapening?

Thanks,

Hello Eric,

Thank you for participating in our community!

Would you be able to provide working file and screen capture for troubleshooting this behavior?

Thank you and I look forward to your reply!

Hello,

Taking into account that the problem is occuring to everyone here on different projects I dont think the working file is relevent. But here are some scrren shoots and a way te replicate what i have done.

1. Select a Shared view

2. Hide one or more elements (Right click, Hide element)

3. Create Markup + Save

4. "Glue" this model back from Revit (in this case Architecture)

5. Select the Markup again, the hidden elements are now visible

Hope this helps troubleshot the problem!

Thanks,

Hi Eric,

In response to your posting regarding Markup.  We are aware of this issue  we are currently working on a solution.

I do not have a definite time frame as to when it will be released, I will definitely update this post as soon as there is an update.  In the meantime, one of the possible workaround is to select a different saved view then re-select the mark-up.  It should reset to the view with the previous settings of the objects visibility.

Please watch out for updates in this thread.

Thank you!

Four years later - any progress on retaining hidden elements in shared views or markups?  Functionality of Glue is severely limited without being able to save view settings.

Thank you,
