Can't open an NWD file in BIM 360 Glue on iPad

Hello,

I have tried opening a Navisworks NWD file on my iPad directly from an email.

But I am getting the messsage "Sorry, we couldn't retrieve your model. Please try again."

Is there something I am doing wrong? I read online that if you tap on the file attached

to an email that you should be able to open it.

Hello Mike,

How large is your NWD file?  Would you be able to share your .NWD file that you are trying to open?

We are having the same problem and the file size can be a little as 1mb.  We get the same pop up when trying to open in glue.  Could it be a setting within Navisworks?

Hi Don, 

 

are you using the latest version of the  BIM 360 Glue app? Just check for updates in the App Store. 

 

I just tried with the NWD you attached to your post and I can open it fine in the app from BIM 360 Glue, and with the desktop app too. It did however bring up a dialog inside Glue when uploading asking for referenced DWGs.

not sure if im understanding you right but it sounds like your trying to open a NWD on your Ipad without uploading it to Glue first. If thats right then you cant do that, an Ipad wont open any Navis files without uploading them to Glue first

We found that the issue is with our corporate mail server.  We have a different avenue for getting the file onto the iPad a is working great.
