I am a general contractor in Va., planning a second floor 600 sq feet extension on a one story framed house ( 20 w x 35d) .
I need to submit first general drawings and later detailed plans to city officers.
I used to sketch it first by hand in a rush, but as I have the time now and things go slow i could use autocad,
which basic autocad tools will you recommend first to start for a lay person?
Maybe someone has already a developed project willing to modify it according customer plans ?
I am sending the picture for the kind of extension I need to build

AutoCAD for Dummies, or some other intro to CAD design book.  There is
a lot more to it then just "AutoCAD tools."

BTW- this is an Autosketch
forum not an AutoCAD forum.  If you want AutoCAD help look here:
