Hello All,
I'm curious as to what Autosketch is....
Is it watered down AutoCAD?
Does it offer a commands and menus similar to AutoCAD?
Can you xref other drawings?
Can you publish or batch plot?
Can it open existing AutoCAD DWG files for minor revisions?
Our Design/Drafting Group uses full AutoCAD.
I never heard of this product before and am wondering if some of
our engineers who like to sketch would be able to use this to sketch
their ideas before passing them on to the designer.
Are you guys happy with Autosketch?
How do you use it?
If you got a few minutes I'd appreciate your comments.
Thank you,
Steve
There are people far better qualified to answer than me, but yes it's basically a watered down AutoCAD. I went from AutoCAD 2008 in a previous life to Sketch 10 and it took minimal effort to adjust (though I'm sure mouse-wheel zoom is opposite to what it's supposed to be).
I don't use the more advanced features, so can't answer you there, but DWG support is not reliable in my experience - be weary. DXF exports are mostly ok and at work we send DXFs to laser cutting businesses just fine.
It's not sold online here in Australia but for only $265 for US buyers why not buy one and just give it a go?
