Do you have a utility to recover troubled SKF files?

My wife has a landscaping design company and has been using Autosketch for years.  Recently we've noticed that some skf files can no longer be opened.   I also noticed that, if i find the files in Windows Explorer, I'm not able to copy the files.  It's not the case for all files, I can still open some files. What I have noticed is that the trouble will happen with all SKF files within an affected folder.

The files are stored on a Network Attached Storage device.

There doesn't seem to be a problem with any other files types on this device. For example, large video files and pictures all seem to be fine.
