Sketchbook on the iPad

I just bought Sketchbook for the iPad and am finding it frustrating because when I use a stylus and rest the side of my palm on the screen, I make all sorts of unwanted marks in the drawing. Using the stylus without resting the hand is difficult for me.

I don't suppose there are any sensitivity settings in the software to minimize this?
