Sketch V8 for dummies

As I, it appears, am about to sadly abandon my long time relationship with
V2.1 for the XP friendly V8.1, I have dusted off my V.7 and am plowing
through it's manual, It assumes allot. Is there any 3rd party manuals out
there that might make this drudgery any less infuriating? Please include a
source if you know of one, Thanks

Hello

I have a book called Hands On A House that is a tutorial on V6 and V7, and
soon V8, but there is little difference between 7 and 8 any way.

If you look on http://www.resolv.com.au you will find info on the book and a
sample that can be downloaded.

Smart alec here..... I hope it addresses and identifies those top 12 changes so
we can decide whether V8 is worth buying.

Well,

Paul Jacksons hands on a house comes highly recommended by most here. I never
bought it because I do not draw houses! I bet it would not matter what you
draw though.... The concepts are the same.

Look for a Paul Jackson Link or message in a NewsGroup near you !

Sorry, but I only have a list of 18 so I won't bother putting it on my site.

18 ? 18 ? I thought it was 12 ??

Clearly, Identifying 6 more repaired items than initially identified would be a
far more serious breach of security. You would really spend some time in the
clink for that !

Thank you for NOT doing so.... Because, this group needs and routinely benefits
from your input. It would be very hard to predict whether you would end up in a
prison with internet access or not..

Thanks,

Chris L

I knew I would get a bite !

I just grabbed that number out of the sky, probably from a list of fixes for
XP, or have they only got 6.

Actually, it's "Hands On A House" that has those 18 changes.

And that's on the *first* page. The others are so innumerable that it
boggles the mind. But no matter, it's still usable as a doorstop.

Paul,

Before you even bother get up to look at your rarely used
Cambridge dictionary again just go to the short cut:

http://www.onelook.com/index.html
http://www.yourdictionary.com/#top

It has a specific list of "Applicable words for the Day" to
identify any of Harvey's particular choices.

Aw shucks ! Here I was thinking I was to get the book to learn something about
Sketch.

I never thought about using it for anything else. Harvey is so far ahead of us !

I wonder if ,with the extra ink from those changes, Well, if It would be heavy
enough to flatten leaves for art projects?

I can't even start to compete with those really big words....

peric
peripac
teticpat
I can't even re-spell it much less know what it means.

Obviously, we know that Harveys dictionary is NOT the book he is holding the door
open with...

Don't forget http://www.m-w.com/home.htm. It is where I go to try to
interpret Harvey.

Main Entry: 2peripatetic
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle French & Latin; Middle French peripatetique, from Latin
peripateticus, from Greek peripatEtikos, from peripatein to walk up and
down, discourse while pacing (as did Aristotle), from peri- + patein to
tread; akin to Sanskrit patha path -- more at FIND
Date: 1566
1 capitalized : ARISTOTELIAN
2 a : of, relating to, or given to walking b : moving or traveling from
place to place : ITINERANT
- peri·pa·tet·i·cal·ly /-ti-k(&-)lE/ adverb
- Peri·pa·tet·i·cism /-'te-t&-"si-z&m/ noun

But most of the time that doesn't even help me.

Maybe I misspelled it: peripathetic.

Couldn't find it. Maybe this is closer:

One entry found for peripatus.

Main Entry: pe·rip·a·tus
Pronunciation: p&-'ri-p&-t&s
Function: noun
Etymology: New Latin, genus name, from Greek peripatos act of walking about,
from peri- + patein to tread
Date: circa 1931
: any of a class or phylum (Onychophora) of primitive tropical wormlike
invertebrates that appear intermediate between annelid worms and arthropods

This probably should go to Take5 but would the peripatetic
wanderers find it? Much more and I'll have to move it over so
Harvey can wind it up some more.

Lady Anne,

To your credit, you are much more lenient than
Cardinal Richelieu!
Wondered when you would activate your guillotine.
